Who we are
Minor Adventures is an independent icon foundry and design studio, founded in 2024 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce as a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak).
Our products, and which terms apply
Each of our icon sets has its own website, with its own licence, terms, and privacy policy. Amicons is at amicons.design. Smallbits is at smallbits.design.
These terms apply to this website and to our products in general. Where a product’s own licence or terms say something different, that product’s page governs for that product.
Using this website
You may browse this website and download anything we offer freely. You may not:
copy, scrape, or mirror this site or its contents, by hand or by automated means
use the contents of this site to train machine learning or generative AI models
attempt to gain unauthorised access to this site, or interfere with how it runs
present our work as your own
Everything on this website, including the icons, artwork, text, and design, belongs to Minor Adventures unless we state otherwise, and is protected by copyright.
What you are buying
Our paid products are digital design assets. When you buy one, you are not buying ownership of the icons. You are buying a licence to use them.
What the licence allows
Subject to these terms and to payment in full, we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:
use the icons in an unlimited number of personal and commercial projects
modify, adapt, recolour, and combine the icons with other work
embed the icons in websites, applications, software, documents, presentations, and marketing material, including work you produce for your own clients
The number of people who may use the files is set by the tier you buy. The seats included in each tier are shown on the product’s pricing page.
What the licence does not allow
You may not:
resell, redistribute, sublicense, rent, lend, or give away the icon files themselves, in any format, either on their own or bundled with other files
include the icons in any product where the icons are the main value, such as another icon set, an icon library, a font, a template pack, or a design asset marketplace
make the icons available for download or extraction by third parties, including through a public repository or a shared design system from which others can take the source files
use the icons to train machine learning or generative AI models
claim the icons as your own original work, or register them, or anything derived from them, as a trademark
use the icons in material that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or deliberately misleading
If you are not sure whether a use is allowed, email us and ask. We would rather answer than have you guess.
Free products
Anything we offer at no cost is provided under the same restrictions as above, unless we say otherwise on that product’s website. Free does not mean unrestricted: you still may not resell or redistribute the files.
Ordering and payment
Purchases are processed by Creem, which acts as our merchant of record. This means Creem is the seller of record for your transaction: it takes your payment, handles applicable VAT and sales tax, and issues your invoice. Creem’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment side of the transaction, alongside these terms, which govern your licence to use the product.
Prices are shown on each product’s website. We may change our prices at any time, but a change never affects an order that has already been placed.
Delivery
Our products are digital and are delivered immediately after payment, by download link or licence key sent to the email address you give at checkout. Please make sure that address is correct. If your product has not arrived within a few minutes of paying, check your spam folder, then email us and we will sort it out.
Refunds and the right of withdrawal
Because our products are digital content delivered immediately, consumers in the EU and UK are asked at checkout to expressly consent to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that, by giving that consent, they lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Once you have given that consent and the product has been made available to you, the sale is final, and we do not give refunds for a change of mind.
If you do not give that consent, your 14-day right of withdrawal applies up until the moment the product is made available to you.
None of this affects your statutory rights. If a product is faulty, does not work as described, or is not what you paid for, email us and we will repair it, replace it, or refund you. Refunds are issued by Creem as merchant of record.
Support
We answer support email at hello@minoradventures.co, and aim to reply within three business days.
Updates to products
Where a product is sold with free lifetime updates, that is exactly what it means: you pay once, and every future addition and improvement to that set is yours at no extra cost, for as long as we maintain it. We do not promise a particular release schedule, and we are not obliged to keep any product on sale forever. If we retire a product, your licence to use the files you already have stays valid.
Custom work
Custom icon design and other commissioned studio work is not sold through this website and is not covered by these terms. That work is agreed separately, in writing, with each client.
Disclaimer
Our products are provided as they are. We take a great deal of care over them, but we do not warrant that they are free of every defect, that they will suit every purpose you might have, or that they will work with every tool or platform. You are responsible for checking that a product fits your project before you rely on it.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for a consumer’s mandatory statutory rights.
Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or connected with a product, or with these terms, is limited to the amount you paid us for that product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
Links to other sites
This website links to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. The version in force at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and disputes will be brought before the competent court in Amsterdam. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings there.
